Detailed description of content |
The group-based study portfolio description may be an appendix, and thus does not count in the page number. The learning must be reflected on, including how the collective learning processes in connection with cluster meetings/peer feedback etc have been used. It is also very important to reflect on how the choices that the group and its members have made point to the professional profile that the group members want to build, and where it is imagined that the professional profile should lead (further education/labor market, which one would like to orient oneself towards). The group-based study portfolio descriptions should not be comprehensive but should help to sharpen the students' ability to explain what they can and what they have learned when the students enter the labor market. Guidance on the use of quantitative methods in projects and theses. If you and your group find quantitative analyses relevant to answer your research question, and your supervisor cannot help, here is an offer of assistance. We offer a workshop where a group of researchers will talk about how to use quantitative data in projects and theses. We will present an overview of publicly available data sets, as well as the your possibilities, if you wish to collect your own data. We expect you to have taken a course in basic quantitative methods (BC 8 or equivalent). The workshop is held on February 24, 12:15-02:00 pm online Join here: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_OTE3MTI0MWItNDZiNy00OTkwLTg2MzctNDAxYWE3YjBhM2Ni%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%225cb8e839-a838-4bb8-92af-d7756c2b7916%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%227666b7c1-0667-41ea-92e3-6f4c99e6ade3%22%7d After the workshop you/your group will have the opportunity to book an appointment with a skilled student, Trine Cosmus Nobel, who will help with downloading and preparing data for analysis and interpretation. Write to nobel@ruc.dk to schedule an appointment. If you need extra guidance on any particular issue, you will be referred to a relevant researcher. |
Project Process |
The project supervision is complemented by a project process which includes the following elements:
The course in Business Studies and Leadership and Management Processes is project-supporting. Regarding cluster seminars: For the problem field seminar, it is expected: Your group prepares approx. 1 ½ pages that describes the problem field you are investigating and indicate a clear problem statement. You are also expected to have searched for scientific literature on the problem formulation, and prepared a preliminary list of references. Your preliminary ideas on how to investigate the problem statement should also be described. The cluster supervisor sets up a peer feedback plan to help sharpen your problem formulation and thus the project. You are also expected to provide peer feedback to other project groups Regarding internal evaluation: To be held just before the intensive final phase of project writing. Here it is expected that you have done most of the work, - you now only have to write the final report. Therefore, you can write an extended abstract with: • Problem area • Problem definition • Method - your empirical work • Theory • Analysis/discussion • Expected conclusion Page restriction: approx. 5-6 pages Again, you give and receive peer feedback, which sharpens your work in the last intensive project phase. |
