Aims of the seminar:

  • Information about rules and regulations regarding the master thesis

  • Inspiration and help to start up the master thesis process

  • Input to heads of study for the allocation of supervisors for master thesis

Who are required to participate:

Students should participate in the first session if:

You are planning to start your Master Thesis in January 2026

This is also the case if you have decided to carry out an internship simultaneously to your Master Thesis.

Students should participate in the second session if:

You are planning to start your Master Thesis in January 2026

This is also the case if you have decided to carry out an internship simultaneously to your Master Thesis, OR

You are planning to start your Master Thesis in August 2026 and you plan external collaboration, extensive field work or highly preparation demanded labwork or simply wish to get some inspiration.

Program:

Mandatory common session 13:00-14:00 in 11.2-047 Gl. Natfagsal

  • Welcome by Lotte Jelsbak, Chair of Study Board for Natural Science

  • Formalities and possibilities by RUC Administration

  • Experience of writing a Master Thesis by Anakin Diermayr, alumni Mathematical Modelling and Camilla Michelle Thorup Andersen, alumni Molecular Health Science

Purpose of the session

  • Get essential information about rules and regulations

  • Get inspiration, help and tips

  • Gain insight on a student’s master thesis experience

Students should participate in the session if: - You are planning to start your Master Thesis in January 2026. (This is also the case if you have decided to carry out an internship simultaneously to your Master Thesis)
